At a press conference on Tuesday afternoon in Los Angeles, three of the four plaintiffs were present, while the fourth appeared remotely.
The lawyer John Harris, who represents the women, detailed the main causes of action against Robinson and described the alleged acts of the singer as “despicable and representable misconduct.”
“Our four clients have a common thread. They are Hispanic women who are used as housewives by the Robinson, who earn below the minimum wage,” he said.
“These four brave women have collectively decided to present and share their experiences of being sexually assaulted by Mr. Smokey Robinson and defending their rights, as well as the rights of other women, particularly those who can be victims of him in the future,” Harris added, calling the demand “the first step of his trip to achieve that.”
During the questions and answers of the press conference, Jane’s lawyers say they have not had news from Robinson and said he has not responded to the complaint or any of the accusations.
