A hotel security guard told him the jury in the jury in Sean “Diddy”, the trial for sex trafficking and the combs exit, the rap magnate paid $ 100,000 in an attempt to ensure his silence and bury a video that now is the central evidence in the criminal case that threatens to send him to prison of life.
In the video captured in 2016 by security cameras at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles, and the jury is shown during the testimony of three different witnesses: combs is seen kicking and dragging his ex -girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Ventura, a musician who testified as a Government’s star witness, said he was trying to escape the combs and one of his orgies fed with drugs, he called “monsters.”
“When I chose to go, I grabbed what I could and left,” Ventura testified during the second week of the trial. “Be followed in the hall before the elevators and grabbed me, threw me to the ground, kicked me, [and] I tried to drag back to the room. “

Comps declared innocent of the charges in the case. His lawyers have said that combs assumes “full responsibility” for domestic violence captured in the video, but argue that the rap magnate has not committed sex trafficking, the conspiracy of extortion and prostitution alleged by federal prosecutors.
The hotel’s security guard, Eddy García, testified on Tuesday that ComBs worked frantically to ensure that the CCTV video never saw the daylight, paying $ 100,000 to get what combs thought it was the only copy of the recording.
“He worried that this video came out and ruined his career,” Garcia testified. According to Garcia, Comps promised “that he would take care of me” and ended up paying $ 100,000 in cash to the man who later referred as “Eddy My Angel.”
When CNN obtained the video last year, the sentence was quick and led Com Coms that offered a public apology, saying that it was “really unfortunate” for its behavior and that “he sought professional help” after the incident.
Prosecutors have argued that the payment of $ 100,000 from combs to Garcia was a bribe and one of the underlying crimes in the heart of his accusation that the hip-hop superstar is guilty of extortion conspiracy. They allege that Comps realized that the episode could reveal years of criminal conduct and could withdraw the curtain on how the tycoon used his commercial empire to force women to sex, threaten them in silence and protect their public reputation.
The trial will resume on Wednesday when three more witnesses are expected to take the position.
Frank Piazza, a video expert, is expected to be the first witness followed by Bryana Bongolan, who alleged that Comps threatened to kill her hanging on a balcony in the presence of Ventura. Bongolan made similar accusations in a civil case, which combs has denied.

A woman named “Jane” is expected to take the position on Wednesday afternoon and testify for five days, according to prosecutors. Jane is expected to be the third and last alleged victim to testify against combs.
The Security Guard testifies on the alleged combs effort to bury the assault video
Garcia testified on Tuesday that he heard about the assault shortly after he registered his turn at the Intercontinental Hotel on March 5, 2016. Garcia told the jury that he understood that the police did not contact at that time because Ventura did not request medical or police care.
Approximately an hour after his turn, Garcia explained to the jurors that he received an unexpected call on his work phone from the combs assistant, Kristina Khorram, who requested a copy of the security video. Despite telling him that he would need to contact the hotel administration or obtain a citation to see the images, Garcia testified that Khorram arrived at the hotel lobby one hour later to see the recording.
“She was asking about the video and if there were any way of watching him,” he said. “She wanted to know what they were trying.”
Garcia said he apologized and said he could not show him, although he testified that he warned him: “Outside the record: it’s bad.”
That night, Garcia testified that once again he received a call in his personal Khorram cell. He told the jury in seconds, a remarkably “nervous” hairstyle came to the other end of the line, trying to explain his actions.

“He asked me if I knew who he was. I said yes,” Garcia said. “Mr. combs sounded very nervous. He was just speaking very fast. He only said he had too much to drink and knew how things was with women when one thing led to the other.”
Garcia testified: “He said he sounded like a good guy, that he sounded as if he wanted to help, that something like this could ruin him. He worried that this video came out and ruin his career.”
He said he also remembered combs telling him: “I would take care of me.” After Garcia informed Comps that he would accept $ 100,000 in exchange for the video, Garcia testified that ComBs “sounded excited” and “referred to me as ‘Eddy My Angel’.”
“I wanted the video as soon as possible,” Garcia told the Court. He explained that then he was given an address about 20 minutes by the intercontinental hotel, where he had to make the exchange.

Once he reached the location designated with a thumb unit containing what he said it was the only copy of the video, Garcia told the court that someone who appeared as combs bodyguard led him to an apartment. He testified that he remembered to have seen combs “smiling, excited” and wearing happy.
“Eddy, my angel, was smiling. He said ‘enters’, making me feel comfortable,” Garcia testified that ComBs told him, adding that Comps instructed Khorram to make a cup of tea.
After Garcia assured Comps that the album had the only copy of the video, the rap magnate supposedly contacted Ventura in Facetime to communicate that she also wanted the video to leave.
He wore a hoodie, and the lighting was not so good, “said García de Ventura.” Before the phone passed, he told me: ‘Let him know that he wants this to disappear,’ “
“And how did Cassie answer?” Prosecutor Mitzi Steiner asked.
“When they passed my phone, I said: ‘Hello’, he said ‘Hello’ and said that I had a movie that came out and that it was not a good time for this to come out and wanted to leave,” Garcia replied.
Garcia told the jury that ComBs demanded that he sign a non -dissemination agreement agreed that there was only one copy of the video and delivered his identification, as well as the identifications of his supervisor and co -worker. Then, Garcia testified that Comps left the room and returned with a brown bag and a money counter, that the comb fed with “$ 10,000 batteries at the same time.”
“In total, in the end it was $ 100,000,” he testified.
Garcia testified to the combs and a bodyguard accompanied him with the suite and accompanied him to the Valet where his car was parked.
“He asked me how I would spend money and told him that I didn’t know,” Garcia testified. “He said he didn’t make great purchases.”
A few weeks later, Garcia testified that he received a message from combs. “Happy Easter, Eddy My Angel. God is good,” recalled the message, saying that combs “proceeded to ask if someone had asked about the video.” He said he hadn’t heard anything.
The jury sees an alleged path on the paper of extortion payment of 2011
After Garcia’s testimony about accepting a payment of $ 100,000 of combs, prosecutors described the combs employee, Derek Ferguson, to deepen the financial structure of the Commercial Commercial Empire. Prosecutors have argued that combs companies doubled as a criminal company that allowed the rap magnate for crimes for years with few repercussions.
Ferguson, who worked as financial director of Bad Boy Entertainment for 12 years, accompanied the jury through combs bank accounts, financial agreements, how companies administered cash and how employees were reimbursed for expenses charged to their corporate cards. Several of ComBs personal assistants testified about having the task of buying supplies for monsters, including gallons of baby oil, sexual lubricant, drugs and alcohol.

The jury members also saw documents that show a series of wire transfers in 2011 to and from Cassie Ventura’s mother. While Ferguson said she did not know the reason for the payment of $ 20,000, the jurors last month listened directly to Regina Ventura, who testified that she and her husband took a loan of household capital to finance the payment. She testified that combs demanded that “recover” the money he had spent on Cassie Ventura “because she was angry because she had a relationship with Scott Mescudi.” Mescudi is also a known rapper, who acts under the name of Kid Cudi.
The jury saw a transfer of December 14 of an account configured to administer the house of combs in Alpine, New Jersey, Cassie Ventura for $ 20,000. On December 23, the same account received $ 20,000 from the father of Ventura. Four days later, on December 27, the account transferred $ 20,000 for “funds.”
Regina Ventura testified that she decided to send the money because she feared for her daughter’s safety after combs threatened to release explicit videos from her. Combs finally returned the money, he said.
During his interrogation, the lawyer of combs, Marc Agnifilo, tried to use the 19 years of Ferguson’s experience working with combs to question the way in which the prosecutors have described the Commercial Empire of combs. .
“Did you see someone helping them Combs commit crimes?” Agnifilo asked.
“No,” Ferguson replied.
“Did you see someone helping them Com La Cum to commit acts of violence?” Agnifilo asked.
“No,” Ferguson replied
“Did you see someone strengthening the company through threats of violence?”
“No.”
