The protesters rushed, arrested at the Georgia City Council of the representative Marjorie Taylor Greene

The representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, one of President Donald Trump’s most loyal allies in the house, faced several protesters who were retired by the police for interrupting her City Council on Tuesday.

Police said at least six attendees were escorted without incident, while three others were arrested, two of which were surprised with a taser during their removal.

The event was held at the Acworth Community Center in Greene’s native state in Georgia on Tuesday, with interruptions almost immediately after the congresswoman took the stage.

“Well, welcome to everyone,” Greene said, starting the meeting when the police withdrew at least three protesters. “Thank you, thanks to our great police officers … This is not a political manifestation. This is not a protest. If you stand up and want to protest, if you want to shout and sing, we will eliminate you, just like that man was expelled.”

At one point, a man was compensated for not cooperating with the police while trying to escort him for interrupting the meeting.

“This is a Pacific City Council. Now this is a Pacific City Council, ladies and gentlemen, this should not have to happen,” said Greene in response.

While talking at the City Council, Greene accused the media of “trying to defend an illegal foreigner who is a member of MS-13 who was deported to his country of origin, El Salvador. That is shameful and that should never happen,” he said, referring to Kilmar Abrego García, a Maryland man that ICE officials have said that he was sent to El Salvador by mistake in March.

Goodbye, “Greene said. “Like that illegal foreigner,” he said, despite the legal status of Abrego García.

Outside the interruptions, the representative Greene received continuous support from the audience, which attended about 80 people. Outside the place, the protesters aligned in the street.

After the demonstration, Greene told journalists that the protesters were “offline”, saying that there was a place designated outside the place for protesters “because we support their right of the first amendment.”
