The Trump administration says it will appeal a court order that will require that it allows hundreds of non -citizens who were deported in March to El Salvador to challenge their arrests.
The United States District Judge, James Boasberg, ordered the Trump administration last week to give the hundreds of men deported to El Salvador under the enemy law alien the right to challenge their arrests as illegal.
The lawyers of the Department of Justice presented an appeal notice on Tuesday, pointing out plans to challenge the decision of a lower court in the United States Court of Appeals for the DC circuit.

The White House Secretary, Abigail Jackson, criticized Boasberg’s decision last week, saying in a statement that Boasberg lacks the authority to intervene in deportations.

“Judge Boasberg has no authority to intervene with immigration or national security, an authority that falls directly to President Trump and the Executive Power. His current and previous attempts to prevent President Trump Sport from illegal criminal foreign to propose a direct threat to the security of the US people,” said Jackson, referring to other recent rules by the judge.
“Fortunately for the American people, Judge Boasberg does not have the last word,” Jackson said.
Boasberg, in the ruling last week, said that detainees, regardless of their alleged criminal status, deserve the right to challenge government claims against them.
