President Donald Trump met with advisors in the situation room on Tuesday afternoon, confirmed a White House official, while Israel and Iran continue to exchange strikes.
The meeting took place about nine hours after Trump returned to the White House after abruptly leaving the G7 summit in Canada early, citing tensions in the Middle East and instructing his national security team on Monday night that he is ready in the situation room upon his arrival. The pool reporters received the news that the meeting was held just after 2:20 pm et, although the exact start time was not clear.
A White House official confirmed that he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the day.
But early on Tuesday, he denied having had contact with leaders in Iran, saying that he had not contacted a possible fire and that “he was not too humor” to negotiate with Iran.
“I have been negotiating. I told them to make the agreement,” Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One. “They should have made the deal. The cities have been launched in pieces, they lost many people. They should have made the deal. I told them to make the deal, so I don’t know. I am not too humor to negotiate.”

It seemed to rule out a recent evaluation of the director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who had said in March that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon. Trump said Tuesday that he thought Iran was “very close” to have such a weapon.
Succeed A publication In its truth, the social network also said that he had not contacted Iran “in any way or form,” calling the reports that he had made it “manufactured.”
“If you want to talk, you know how to get to me,” Trump said in a publication on social networks on Tuesday. “They should have taken the treatment on the table, they would have saved many lives!”

Israel began on Friday an attack against Iran, launching a series of air attacks that Israeli officials described as a preventive strike. Israeli and Trump leaders have asked Tehran separately to put an end to efforts to create nuclear weapons.
The United States diplomats and Iran made a series of conversations in Muscat, Oman, starting in April, with the sixth round that will begin last Sunday. These conversations were canceled when the conflict between Israel and Iran began.

Tuesday was asked Tuesday to Trump about Gabbard’s testimony in March against the Senate Intelligence Committee, where he said Iran was not building a nuclear weapon.
When they were pressed on Gabbard’s comments, Trump discarded them.
“I don’t care what she said, I think they were very close to having one,” Trump said.
Trump has not ruled out US participation in the conflict, although the United States has remained on the sidelines so far. However, Trump has issued a severe warning to Iran on Tuesday about US troops and assets in the region, instructing Tehran “not touching our troops.”
“We are going to go down if they do something to our people,” Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One.
